Abstract

Este artigo descreve o desenvolvimento e a aplicação de modelos estocásticos para simular a pesagem de veículos de carga em postos rodoviários do estado do Ceará. Numa primeira etapa, foram realizados os levantamentos de campo e as análises dos dados necessários à calibração e à validação dos modelos de simulação das operações de pesagem e autuação dos veículos de carga. Em seguida, os modelos propostos foram aplicados para as diferentes rodovias candidatas à implantação de postos fixos de pesagem, permitindo avaliar o efeito da variação do volume de tráfego pesado (caminhões carregados) e do percentual de veículos trafegando com excesso de peso, sobre as variáveis de projeto (área do pátio de estocagem dos veículos a serem pesados por número de balanças utilizadas, área do pátio de estacionamento dos veículos autuados) e as variáveis operacionais (tempo médio de espera na fila para pesagem e para autuação).
