Abstract

A literatura técnica de planejamento de transportes se enriquece com o livro de Richardson, Ampt e Meyburg (1995) sobre Métodos de Pesquisa para Planejamento de Transportes. A necessidade de informações sobre os diversos aspectos da atividade de transportes, assim coma sobre os fatores que a condicionam e os impactos que provoca, é um dos requisitos essenciais papa o planejamento de sistemas de transportes. Ao longo de mais de 40 anos de prática de levantamento de informações para o planejamento de transportes, é difícil identificar publicações que tenham tratado especificamente do tema (a principal exceção sendo os manuais produzidos por órgãos do governo norte-americano, nas décadas de 50 e 60), este livro possibilita tal enfoque.
