CONSIDERAÇÕES A RESPEITO DO USO DO PROGRAMA TRANSYT EM CIDADES BRASILEIRAS

Abstract

Pretende-se com este trabalho propor uma discussão a respeito do uso do TRANSYT em cidades brasileiras. Dentre os pontos apresentados tem destaque artigo “Prioridades para Ônibus nos Planos de Sincronismo: O caso do Rio de Janeiro” (Ribeiro, 1996), que é extremamente importante no sentido de trazer, através de uma experiência nacional, questões que já vêm sendo tratadas há bastante tempo a nível internacional, no que diz respeito à capacidade do programa TRANSYT em representar a operação de veículos de transporte coletivo em vias urbanas, quando estes compartilham o espaço viário com o restante do tráfego motorizado.
