Abstract:
This paper tackles the problem of designing a transportation network under multiple criteria via the cone contraction method. The use of this method implies the following steps: ( 1) generating a small subset of non-dominated points; (2) construction of a fuzzy outranking relation; (3) construction of two orders in the previously obtained set of non-dominated points, by making use of ascending and descending distillation; (4) accessment of two scalarizing functions by using ordinal regression; (5) construction of the preference cone in the criteria space; (6) interactive exploration of the non-dominated subsets defined by the cone; (7) chec of the existence of a compromise solution; and (8) feedback. A numerical example is given.
